Batch 10 Rocks!! - Part 2
I wrote this speech for our Lawson Batch 10 6th-Month Party... delivered by Momee Celes, our hailed batch Valedictorian :-D
They say good friends are hard to find…
They say in your lifetime you must at least have one coffee buddy, one shoulder to cry on and one friend to share the daily laughter.
How come I haven't had a hard time?
Surprisingly, I've found them in this friendship haven called Lawson. Some people can find true friends in the span of their lifetimes… but I'm so lucky I've found them in just 6 months.
These are the guys from all walks of life. A mix blend of cultures, diverse experiences, varied music genres preferences, with EQ levels ranging from 40 to 330. If I'm to classify us, I can make a thousand and one categories: the top 6 among the categories can be the:
1. Jologs-Jologer-Jologest,
2. no-appetite/moderate-appetite/ appetite of a termite,
3. slutty-sluttier-sluttiest
4. light-weight/middle-weight/
5. Lobo viewers/ Grey's Anatomy viewers/Series illiterate
And many more.
And it makes me think… how come we are birds of not the same feathers.. yet we all flock together?
How come a single word spewed out of one's mouth can be understood by all of us and can make us all laugh. How come if I raise my hand without any reason, all of you can understand the necessity to do the same?
I'd like to think of "lukso ng dugo" as the main reason. If we will all be subjected to a regression session, perhaps we'll understand that sometime in our past lives we became all seriously, I mean seriously related with each other by consanguinity or affinity…
Like…
RJ is the aborted child of Mich, when she got impregnated by a Black man Lawrence and Lawrence is married to Celes. Celes has a sister, Dimpz who is the chambermaid of the Kingdom ruled by Rex in the Middle-ages. And they fell in-love with each other and had a secret child which is Jem. Jem and Enid are warriors in the Braveheart era who were captured and starved to death as ordered by Edfel. And so on…
Something like that.
We were people from all walks of life. And I cannot trade it for any modifications or testing job that Ms. Weng can offer. No way.
Years from now… fate has something in-store for all of us. We can never tell. But the world is so small, I never fear that I will lose you in a portion of my memory where only happy and good memories are saved.
Cheers to the friendship we found!!
