ephemeral bliss
having diagnosed myself with a "vacation deficit disorder", i decided to take a week vacation which i filed as early as March to give me time to fix burnout.
a week before my vacation i got so excited about the IE8 Run, a fun run sponsored by Microsoft. i signed-up for the event and practiced as much as i can to prepare me for the 4-mile run.
5 days without work, wooohooo!!
Here's how i spent it:
1. had a self-evaluation
2. evaluated my relationship with my family and dear friends
3. ate Japanese (maki and ramen! slurrpp!)
4. had tender moments with Fabrice every 4am till he gives up (it's his 10pm onwards)
5. run, run, run (using my new Nike Free 5.0) along Roxas Blvd.
6. watched, watched, watched
and on the day i woke up for the fun run, my neck finally gave up.. CRACCKKK. i could hardly move my neck, it's really, really painful. i realized i missed stretching my neck before running.
too bad i had to beg off for the fun run and as an added bonus, i grew another cold sore on my upper lip. GRROOSSSS.
what a vacation.
it's monday again and i declare that my vacation is officially over, and i'm gonna embrace the challenges and stress again starting tonight.
